Higher Education Department has finalised 2023 Spring Term and our students will be at easter break until 13th May. Our Hospitality Management and International Travel and Tourism Management students studied theoretical background and practical applications of Professional Identity, Leadership and Management and Marketing Essentials modules. They were excited about the job interviews they would go through as part of their studies at the end of the term and some of the interviews were held by sector professionals in real-life settings, which was a brilliant experience for them. They attended webinars on improving their academic skills, field trips to several premises such as Limehouse Boutique Hotel and lastly HRC 2023 fair (Hotel Restaurant Catering) at ExCel London. We are excited for the upcoming 2023 Summer Term to welcome our students back at the Campus again.

Over the past month, we have taken in 36 students from Algeria and 36 students from Uzbekistan. Both groups of students spent their time enjoying the sights and life in London while also brushing up on their English Language skills.

Facilities Access Over the Next Few Weeks

Although our HE students will be on their Easter break, our facilities will be open and available from 08:45 until 17:00 every day from Monday to Friday, including full access of our IT suite and Library for self study.
|
|
|
During this month, the Marketing team have attended a number of career events at schools and colleges to let potential students know of what courses and opportunities we offer. Many people were interested and have a great interest in our specialist courses in International Travel & Tourism and Hospitality Management.
We also visited Excel London and we were amazed with the variety of booths and services companies were advertising.

In our continued endeavors to support our staff and students health, we have partnered with Always Fit Health, a wellbeing start-up to help provide you with tools that can support your mental and physical health. We are now running the pilot with our student and staff representatives and will be working to understand the needs and aspirations are for wellbeing to improve our support services.
Once the pilot phase is complete, all staff and students will be provided with full access to the application.
