It’s autumn now here in London, and we are overjoyed to announce that our face to face provision at DAL is in full swing. We have students from all over the world studying General English classes, improving their confidence in English, fluency and grammatical accuracy. Alongside our classes, we are now running weekly excursions to places of historical and cultural interest such as the Victoria and Albert museum, the John Soane museum and Tate Modern.

Higher Education

The new term for Higher Education students started on the 27th September. The lessons continue to be delivered via Blended Learning with a combination of on-site and online sessions. Students are taking advantage of supplementary sessions to help them improve their study skills and prepare for assignments.

We congratulate all the students who recently achieved their HNC and HNDs by completing their studies throughout challenging pandemic conditions. We wish them every success in the next chapter of their learning and career journeys.

Our next enrolment for Higher Education courses will be January 2022.

The latest Academy rules are displayed throughout the campus and we encourage all our community to help prevent spread of Covid-19.

Our English Language student visited the fascinating John Soane museum, situated in Lincoln's Inn Fields, Holborn. The students were all amazed by this Georgian house full of antiquities, sculptures and paintings which John Soane declared would be a free museum for London when he died, 3 centuries ago. The journey began at Blackfriars station and continued through the historic Temple before arriving at the museum.

Social Calendar

Carnaby was the first area to announce its Christmas light plans for 2021. It's teamed up with refugee charity Choose Love (which has a pop-up store at 3 Carnaby Street) for Carnaby Kaleidoscope, an overhead display of over 600 shimmering butterflies signifying rebirth, transformation, change, hope and life.

It's unveiled on 4 November, when the annual Christmas shopping party takes place. Register for a free ticket to take advantage of discounts and special events in the local shops, restaurants and bars.

A showcase of 125 years of motoring including veteran, vintage, classic, and the very latest cars. Something for everyone, with lots of things to see and do including interactive displays and entertainment throughout the day from 10.30am until 4pm. A family friendly environment with the Street pedestrianised from Piccadilly Circus to Oxford Circus. The usual shopping appeal of Regent Street with a great opportunity for some early Christmas shopping too! It’s all completely free to view!
The National Service of Remembrance, held at The Cenotaph in Whitehall on Remembrance Sunday, ensures that no-one is forgotten as the nation unites to honour all those who have suffered or died in war. HM The Queen will pay tribute alongside Members of the Cabinet, Opposition Party leaders, former Prime Ministers, the Mayor of London and other ministers. Representatives of the Armed Forces, Fishing Fleets and Merchant Air and Navy will be there, as well as faith communities and High Commissioners of Commonwealth countries. One of the most moving parts of the event is the march past the Cenotaph by thousands.
