Courses

English Language

In the English department this month, students have been:

  • Improving spoken accuracy and fluency through a series of debates, discussions and presentations.
  • Sharing cultural identities and backgrounds through presentations.
  • Developing written skills through a series of tasks focusing on email etiquette, layout, language and structure.
  • Listening for gist and specific detail in a range of natural, real world audios

Higher Education

Our Higher Education (BTEC Hospitality Management (HM) and International Travel and Tourism Management (ITTM)) students started their 2024 Summer Term on 18th May 2024.

  • HN ITTM students will be studying their last term with us.
  • HNC HM students are excited as the units they will cover this term consist of more hands-on practices such as field trips to hotels and restaurants.
  • As part of the Food and Beverage Operations Unit, “International Food Day” will be held at our Limehouse Library Hotel. As a part of  Managing Customer Experience Unit, students will be organising a conference in real life settings.

We wish them a fruitful term.

Chelsea

Our students recently ventured into Chelsea for a day filled with cultural delights. We strolled along Kings Road, exploring boutique shops and trendy cafes. At the Saatchi Gallery, we were mesmerized by contemporary art. The highlight was Chelsea Barracks, where stunning blown glass sculptures captivated us. This journey wasn’t just about sightseeing; it was a celebration of creativity and camaraderie. As we bid farewell to Chelsea, our hearts brimmed with unforgettable memories.

National Gallery

Our recent visit to the National Gallery was a journey through centuries of artistic brilliance. Guided by passionate curators, we immersed ourselves in the beauty of masterpieces by Van Gogh, Da Vinci, and more. It was a transformative experience, deepening our appreciation for art’s timeless power to inspire and connect us across generations.
