Course Description

Learners develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to work as a manager and leader in the Hospitality industry.  They gain a recognised Level 4/5 qualification, which will help with progression to employment, or towards a related university degree such as Business or Hospitality Management.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

To develop the knowledge, understanding and skills of learners in the field of hospitality management and provide opportunities for learners to gain a nationally recognised vocational qualification to enter employment in travel and tourism, or to progress to higher education qualifications such as a degree in a related area like business management or leisure and tourism management.

PROGRESSION

Learners studying the Edexcel BTEC HND Level 5 will be able to progress to a final year degree in Hospitality Management or one of its specialist areas.
Progression from this qualification may well be into employment in the sector where learners may work towards membership of a professional body. Find out more

ASSESSMENT

The course is assessed by end of term assignment briefs given at the beginning of each term.
The assignments are reviewed by assessors before submission.
Each unit is internally assessed and graded by qualified tutors/assessors and checked by internal verifiers.
The assessments are moderated by the Edexcel External Examiner.
